fox 5's paul wagner has itself news edge investigation. -- has the news edge investigation. >> reporter: according to a diagram of the accident, the mayor's vehicle appears to be the striking vehicle. it's listed here as number one. the other driver, number two. the mayor told the investigating officer he was southbound on broad branch road when he was struck by the other driver. sunday night the mayor spokesperson said the other driver ran a stop sign striking the mayor's car. in an e-mailed response chief lanier said the mayor clearly struck the other side of the vehicle. be be the striking vehicle does not imply fault. there are many other factors. traffic control signals, speed, et cetera. government protocol requires photos to be taken when a governmentehicle is involved in a rash but none were taken. chief ran near says by the -- lanier says by the time the officers arrived, the cars had already been moved and the driver of the other car had left. we do have photos of the damage on the government vehicle. protocol dictates all passengers be listed on the report. this was not done.
